The wine has a clean, intense colour with predominant ruby-red hues and violet highlights.  The taste is soft, silky, with a pronounced fruity-spicy character. A good balance of acidity and tannins gives it harmony and elegance.  Its complex, rich aroma reveals cherry, tobacco, and cocoa accents.  Upon closer inspection, woody and earthy notes can be detected.
The wine aged in oak barrels will make a good pair with poultry, beef, veal, lamb dishes.  Cheeses, light snacks and rice dishes will also be a good addition.  Can be served with lamb shoulder, paella, monkfish blanquette.
